Saint Cars - Frequently Asked Questions

Where do you operate?

Saint Cars operate in La Cala on the Costa del Sol in Spain, the closest airport is Malaga. We specialise in the area from Benalmàdena to Marbella, but it is possible to hire a car from us and to stay outside this area.

Where do you meet us at the Airport?

At the present time all arrivals come into the new terminal 3 T3, we urge our clients to stay inside the terminal building and walk towards the PRENSA shop (Newsagents)

What do we need to do to make a reservation?

Once you have contacted Saint Cars and informed us of your vehicle requirments and period of stay all we require are your flight number and estimated time of arrival. From there we contact the airport to find an accurate time of arrival to ensure we are ready to greet you. At this point you should alo let us know if you require a baby seat or booster seat.

What happens if we are delayed?

We check with the airport to find a confirmed time of arrival.

What happens if we wish to cancel a booking?

If you are changing dates then no problem at all. If you are canceling your booking, a 20 percent fee is due. This is refundable on a new reservation after the new flight details have been received.

Is it possible to collect us from Malaga railway station?

Yes this is no problem, as long as we ensure a definite point to meet then all will be good.

What about child seats?

We have baby seats and booster seats available at no extra cost. These must be booked along with your flight details.

What type of insurance do we get?

By Spanish law the only type of insurance possible is 3rd party only.

What happens if we have an accident, or if there is any damage to the vehicle?

We urge our clients if in these circumstances to contact us in all cases - we are here to help.

What is the excess on the insurance?

We have a 3-tier excess of €300.00 for the small cars, €350.00 for the mid-size car, and €400.00 for the large cars and the mini bus.

Other than the insurance excess, are we liable to pay for anything else?

No. The only other things you are liable to pay for are punctures and damage to wing mirrors.

What happens if we break down?

In this case call us our phone is on 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

What methods of payment do you take?

At Saint Cars we can accept all major credit cards, and of course cash. We do not charge cards without the customer being present.
